Queer Volley Ball started in 2003 as a way of getting Fresno's GLBT community involved in active recreation.

​

The games were originally held every Thursday between March and October, then expanded to include monthly Saturday games. In mid-2008 Saturday games were cancelled, due in part to hot summer weather. Thursday games have remained strong, usually with 2 nets and up to 40 players and supporters weekly. We played at Quigley Park (Dakota & Teilman) from 2003 to 2014.
